Crimson Hill Farm
The Hill family have lived at the farm for over 22 years and take great pride in the improvements they have made. Kevin and Alison look forward to greeting you (they are always here) to share their joy of the beautiful location and countryside. Tea and biscuits will be served the minute you arrive. Crimson Hill Farm has a one bedroom holiday bungalow called “Buzzard’s View” overlooking the valley and is also a Caravan Club Certified location with five pitches for Caravan Club members only. Each pitch is at least 100 yards from any other pitch giving it privacy and its own views. There is toilet and shower facilities at the farm house which are open from 7am to midnight.
The farm is now run in accordance with the Countryside Stewardship criteria having a range of semi-natural habitat, a Grassland County Wildlife Site, and a Woodland County Wildlife Site. For the ornithologists. The bungalow was named “Buzzards View” because when the buzzards are courting in the spring, even those who mate for life still indulge in aerial displays of courtship, and at times there can be as many as 16 birds in the immediate sky. A few years ago the Blackthorn Hillside was a favourite nesting site for nightingales and after wildlife advice the blackthorn has now been coppiced and the undergrowth thickened to encourage them back to past numbers.
