Village Hall

The hall is opposite The Bell Inn and is shared with Beercrocombe, a neighbouring village. It was built in 1987 and opened by Prince Charles; the old hall was a thatched building in Headwell. It has the capacity to hold 80 sitting and 120 standing. The hall consists of one large room plus a smaller meeting room and has doors leading to the large grounds. There is a newly updated kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, crockery, kettles, urn and teapots. Equipment includes audio visual gear for film shows (supply own laptop). Mobile staging blocks are also available. It is regularly used by local groups, hosts entertainment events including music and comedy jointly promoted with Somerset Take Art, and can be hired for any type of suitable function.
